Recently I was introduced to www.FreshDeals.com and knew I had to pass this info along to my Ms. Modern readers!

First of all, I’m a busy single woman and I do a lot of my shopping online. Call me lazy? Perhaps. I call it smart! I like to shop around and get opinions on the items I’m interested in before I buy. Fresh Deals is made just for women like me!

I’m currently in the market for my first laptop. My desktop computer is dying & I’m looking to find a laptop to replace it. I want a normal-sized PC laptop that allows me to keep all my old files PLUS add news ones. I also have my eye on The Sims 4 which requires a lot of gigs.

Before I search for one on any other sites, I decided to try my luck with Fresh Deals.

First, I clicked on the Computers & Software section.

Then I chose PC as my operating system. And because I’m in love with XP and afraid of Vista, I found a Toshiba Fast 1.6 Ghz. Laptop, 1GB RAM, 40GB Hard Drive, CDRW-DVD, Licensed Windows XP Notebook PC starting from $274.95, well within my price range.

The Fresh Deals page on the laptop sent me to Buy.com where it listed all of its features as well as images of the laptop. It old me everything I needed to know. If I wanted to buy, I just had to click a button!

Before I make such a large purchase, I figured I’d check the Fresh Deals forum to see what I could learn about the Toshiba laptop. I could either post my own question or search for answers already made on this subject. Here’s what I found:

Although I’m not too concerned about the weight, it was interesting to see how the Fresh Deals site works.

My thoughts on Fresh Deals:

1. The homepage is very easy on the eye and clear without being cluttered which is good.
2. As you scroll down, you will find information on the current featured products. It’s a good place to see what is new in the world.
3. It’s easy to post a question and easy to post an answer in the forums.
4. On the downside, the site doesn’t seem immensely popular yet so only 1-2 people may post an answer to your question or no one at all. As the site grows, though, it will become more usable.
5. Another downside is that they don’t have a lot of businesses listed with them yet. Doing a clothing search only yields items for men & children even when I searched for Women’s. I’m guessing that this site as it currently is would be better suited for electronics searches and the like.
6. All in all, I think Fresh Deals is a site to bookmark. The more it grows in popularity, the more it will do for you!
