Halloween Giveaway 10/13: Sarah Brown – 1/2 Gallon Orange Juice Wallet!

I got to interview Sarah a bit about her craft. Besides finding out that I am exactly 363 1/4 days older than her, here’s what she had to say:

My mother has been doing upholstry work as long as I remember. When I was young I was always cutting out animal shapes or dress shapes and asking her to sew them for me. she would hand me a needle and thread and nicely tell me to do it myself. so I did. My father is a wood worker and my step father is a sign maker. Making things runs strong in my veins.

I am inspired by nature, happy thoughts, bright colors, animals, and sometimes my hands just lead the way…

My favorite mediums are things that are usually considered trash, worn out denim, shrunken sweaters, recyclables, scraps of fabric, felt, beads, shiny objects, buttons……

I love to do custom items! challenge me!

I came across Sarah’s etsy shop & was fascinated with everything she has to offer! She’s got some creative ideas, this girlie! Here are examples of her pincushions:

Sarah also makes jewelry as well as wall hangings and embroidered items. Here’s a pair of earrings called “China Town” that used hand-made tassles!
